President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Zamfara State, Dr Dauda Lawal, on his birthday, September 2, 2026.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Governor Lawal as avg “Renaissance governor” who has brought positive change to Zamfara.
President Tinubu particularly acknowledged the governor’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his efforts at industrialisation in the state.
The President also commended Lawal for going beyond infrastructure provision to rehabilitate over 800 schools, recruit more than 2,000 teachers, upgrade hospitals, and provide medical supplies across Zamfara.
Describing himself as a strong proponent of well-rounded development, President Tinubu said the governor’s multi-sectoral approach to governance is the right step toward holistic development, especially in human capital development.
“As the governor celebrates this occasion, the President joins family, friends, and the good people of Zamfara to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation,” the statement said.
