Suspected thugs have burgled the office of the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo carting away the mace.
The suspected hoodlums were said to have broken into the assembly in the early hours of Thursday carting away the official symbol of authority.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident,said investigations have been launched to unravel those behind the incident and the motive behind their action.
He however noted that the coat of arms on the mace has been recovered while the stick is still missing.
