The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has commissioned a new 100MVA power transformer at its 132/33kV Dan Agundi Transmission Substation in Kano.
This followed the recent fire incident at the station.
This was announced in a statement by TCN through its official social media handle on Thursday.
According to the statement “The commissioned transformer added 80MW to the substation’s existing capacity.
“Increase in capacity of the substation means that there is more bulk power available for Kano DisCo to deliver to its customers in Nasara GRA, Aminu Kano Airport, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Bokabo Barracks, Air Forces Base, Na’Ibawa, Hotoro, Kundila, Tarauni, Sani Mai Nagge, Kabuga Aminu Kano Way, Jakara, among others.”
