While the governor-elect polled a total of 257,926 votes, in last Saturday’s gubernatorial election, his closest rival who is the candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party NNPP, Professor Sani Yahaya scored a total votes of 202,277.

A former Deputy Minority Leader who later defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha came third with 142,502 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Agbu vowed to carry all the people in the state along, irrespective of political, religious and tribal affiliations.

He called on all his fellow contestants to give him the much needed support.
