A young girl from Benue State, identified as Faith, was tragically stabbed to death by suspected robbers on Friday along Mobile Road in the Ajah area of Lagos.
Faith, a native of Itakpa Ito in Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, was said to have visited her boyfriend earlier in the day and was returning home when the attack happened.
Eyewitnesses said she was accosted by a group of men who attempted to snatch her phone and handbag.
A struggle ensued, during which one of the assailants stabbed her in the neck with a sharp object, believed to be a knife.
She was left bleeding on the roadside and was later found lifeless by passersby, who alerted security authorities.
Her remains have been deposited in a nearby mortuary.
As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement, though investigations are reportedly underway to identify and apprehend those responsible
