The Supreme Court has scheduled Monday, October 23 for a hearing of the appeal filed by the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar in the last Presidential election .
Atiku is challenging the September 6, judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) which dismissed their petitions and upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.
The former Vice President predicated his plea on the grounds that presenting forged documents by any candidate, especially by a candidate for the highest office in the land, is a very grave constitutional issue that must not be encouraged.
The apex court on Thursday, October 19 sent out a hearing notice,for Monday, October 23, to all parties involved.
