Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Uthman Bala Adam (Boss) has charged the Athletes representing the State at the National Sports Festival to be of good conduct and good Ambassadors of the State.

He gave the charge while addressing the #TeamNasarawa as they were about taking off for National Sports Festival tagged #Edo2020.

While wishing them a safe trip to Edo State , He charged them to promote the good name of the state and shun any sort of social vices including substance abuse.

He however reiterated the promise of the Governor , Abdullahi A Sule to reward every athlete(s)/Team that brings back laurel thereby making the state proud.

Some of the coaches and athletes while responding thanked the state government for ensuring that despite all the postponement due to report of COVID19 task force, the state government was able to ensure Nasarawa state contingents were not left out as about 210 coaches, athletes and other officials were selected and their allowances settled.

Nasarawa State Team will be participating in about 18 events which include; Athletics, Ayo, Basketball,Badminton, Weightlifting, Judo,Table tennis,Golf, Lawn Tennis.

Others are Langa, Scrabble, Karate,Kungfu, Teakwando, Deaf( Paralympics), Trado, Wrestling and Dart.
