The Speaker Edo State House of Assembly Honourable Frank Okiye has been impeached .
Okiye’s impeachment followed a motion by the Majority Leader of the House, Henry Okhurobo during the plenary session on Monday.

The impeachment letter was signed by nine of the 10-members who were present at the brief sitting.
The House has also elected Hon. Marcus Onobhu representing Esan West constituency as the new speaker of the house.
