The Jigawa state Governor ,Muhammmad Badaru Abubakar along with the Chairman Nigerian Governors Forum Kayode Fayemi have visited the Sokoto market that razed with fire last week.
The Governors were at the market to commiserate with the victims of the inferno that wrecked havoc on multiple shops in the central market.
About twelve thousand shops out of sixteen thousand shops in the market razed down completely mostly garment traders.
While speaking at the market, the Chairman Nigerian Governor’s forum Kayode Fayemi disclosed that the forum has donated the sum of fifty million naira to the state government.

He also commiserate with the shop owners calling on them to have strength and be hope-full as they struggle to bounce back on their feet after the unfortunate incident.
Also, the Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, sympathized with the victims that lost their shops and properties worth millions of naira, while calling on them to take it as a test from their creator.
He added that, “every human being is subject to be tested by his lord. And ones faith after the incident will determine whether that individual has passed or failed the test.”

“If one submit himself to the Almighty and believes He is the only one that can do and undo, without having to blame any individual for the unfortunate event, then and only then he would be a good servant to the Lord.”
