A Shari’ah Court in Kano State has sent TikToker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, to a psychiatric hospital for mental evaluation.
The presiding judge, Nura Yusuf Ahmad, gave the order on Tuesday.
According to the Judge, during Murja’s previous appearance in the court, she was allegedly not in a sound state of mind due to suspected drug influence.
The court ordered her to be remanded at Hisbah Board custody pending her psychiatric evaluation and adjourned the matter to May 20th, 2024 for more hearing.
Recall that Tiktoker Murja Kunya was arrested last week by the Hisbah Board.
She was subsequently arraigned before an Upper Shari’ah Court at Kwanar Hudu in Nassarawa local government area of the State on allegation of sharing vulgar video content on a social media platform.
