Senate confirms 21 federal commissioners for RMAFC

The Senate has confirmed the 21 nominees by President Bola Tinubu for appointment as Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The confirmation followed the consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance presented by the chairman, Senator Abdullahi, Yahaya Abubakar (Kebbi North).

-That the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance on the confirmation of the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Those confirmed by the Senate for appointment as Federal Commissioners of RMAFC are as Mrs. Linda Nkechi Oti, (Abia state), Mr. Akpan Imo Effiong (Akwa-Ibom state), Mr. Enefe Ekene (Anambra state), Professor Steve Ugbah (Benue state), Chief Eyo Noa Whiley (Cross River state), Araviere Egharhevwe (Delta state), Nduka Henry Awuregu (Ebonyi state), Mr. Victor Eboigbe (Edo state), Hon. Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti state) and Hon. Ozo Obumreme Obodougo (Enugu state).

Others are Mr. Mohammed Kabeer Usman (Gombe state), Alh. Kabir Mohammed Mashi (Katsina state), Hon. Adamu Fanda (Kano State), Professor Olusegun Adekunle Wright (Lagos state), Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir (Nasarawa state), Bako Shetima (Niger state), Mr. Amosun Akeem Akintaye (Ogun state), Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan (Ondo state), Hon. Said Bello Ibrahim (Plateau state), Ms Modu Aji Zulure (Yobe state) and Bello Rabiu Garba FCNS (Zamfara).

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio congratulated those confirmed and urged them to be good “ambassadors of your states with integrity”.
