Former Senate President,Bukola Saraki,Former aviation Minister,Femi Fani- Kayode  and Other Prominent Nigerians have reacted to the death of Buruji Kashamu, former Ogun East Senator.

Kashamu had died of COVID-19 complications on Saturday at a private hospital in Lagos.

His death was confirmed by former Bayelsa East Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce via his verified Twitter handle.

Reacting, Sen.Bukola Saraki in a tweet wrote: “I am devastated to receive the sad news of the passing away of my former colleague and friend, Senator Buruji Kashamu. He was a kind and compassionate man, always ready to make himself available in support of any of his colleagues. With this attitude, he won the hearts of many..”

Also Femi Fani- Kayode expressed shock over the death of the former Ogun Senator.

The former Minister wrote:

“Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and brother Senator Buruji Kashamu as a result of Covid 19. May the Lord honor and reward him with a place in heaven & may He forgive him of all his sins. RIP my old friend. You fought a good fight & we shall miss you.

Former Osun West Senator, Ademola Adeleke described the death as shocking and painful. He tweeted”

*INALLILAHI WAHEENA ILEHI ROJIHUNA*!!!

The news of the death of Senator Buruji Kashamu is shocking and painful. Senator Kashamu was a good friend, who will be solely missed by many people. May Allah be merciful to him and grant him Aljanah Fridaus.

Similarly,Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose commiserated with the family of the late senator.

He tweeted” I commiserate with the family of Senator Buruji Kashamu for this irreparable loss and pray for the repose of his soul. The Almighty God will console those he left behind.

I also condemn the statement made by former President Obasanjo on his (Kashamu) death.”
