Governor Sani Bello also reminded the Muslim Faithful to remain steadfast in imbibing the salient lessons of the Ramadan fast which are love, compassion, honesty, piety and peaceful coexistence.

While acknowledging the immense economic challenges facing the state and country, the Governor warns shylock market men and women against arbitrary hike in the prices of their commodities during or after the Ramadan fast as it is against Islamic teachings.

The Governor felicitates with the Muslim Faithful for witnessing yet another Ramadan fast and prayed that the lessons and blessings of the Holy Month will be internalized so that it positively affects our attitude and promote greater commitment to peace and unity of the country.

He also called on the Muslim Faithful to pray for an end to the prevailing security challenges in the country , assuring that government will continue to do it’s best in securing the lives and property of the citizens.

The Ramadan fast is a month-long annual religious ritual in which Muslims are obligated to abstain from food and drinks and other luxuries
from dawn to sunset.
