The Nigerian Railway workers on Thursday begin a three-day warning strike grounding railway services nationwide.
The workers are demanding among other things better welfare of staff, enhanced salary, better working environment, payment of their promotional arrears, demolition of their staff quarters among other grievances.
At different stations, Angry rail workers ensured the gates to the NRC train platform as well as the premises of the corporation were securely locked, leaving so many passengers stranded today.
Aggrieved workers were also seen with placards, lamenting poor welfare and poor salary.
