Students of College of Education (COE), Akwanga on Tuesday set ablaze tires on the highway after a truck allegedly belonging to the Dangote Group of Companies knockdown a motorcycle carrying passengers.
This is coming barely few days after a final year, Ruth Abraham of the department of Economics/Geography died in a bike accident.
The fatal accident which happened around the junction of the Kini Country Guest Inn along Andaha road, Akwanga, Nasarawa State led to the death of two (2) persons.
Moment after the tragedy, other students at the scene of the incident reacted in anger, setting ablaze tires on the highway and demanding to speak with the provost, Dr. Jonathan Thani.
The protest by the students who were displaying rage over the death of their schoolmates led to vehicular traffic on the highway.
Normalcy however has been restored following the prompt intervention of the school management and officers of the police.
