The operation was conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as part of efforts to prevent crime and strengthen security in the territory.
Police said several locations identified as criminal hideouts were searched, with knives, a toy gun, cannabis and other illicit drugs recovered.
The arrested persons are undergoing screening and profiling. Those found culpable will be charged to court, while those with no case will be released.
FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, directed officers to operate professionally and in line with the law.
He warned against extortion, intimidation and unlawful demands for money, and urged residents to provide credible information on suspicious activities.
