Operatives of Rivers Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers identified as Vincent Sunday, Ekene Micheal and Mohammed Oluwasegun.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday 10th January 2023 based on credible intelligence available to operatives of Rumuji Police Division of Emohua LGA.

They were arrested from an uncompleted building they were using as their hideout in Obelle community of Emohua local Government Area state.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO said the arrest was made based on intelligence.

Iringe-Koko said operatives of the Division mobilized patrol Teams and raided the enclave of the suspect during which one of their victim identified as Martin Nze, 37 of Awka, Anambra State, was rescued, and his car, a Toyota Corolla was recovered and taken to the police station.

Also, one single barrel Dane Gun was recovered from the suspects.

The police spokesperson said the suspect will be charged in court once the investigations are completed.

The Command further said while painstaking efforts are being deployed to ensure the protect lives and properties, members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police at the following emergency numbers: 08039213071, 08098880134.
