The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly invited the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac in connection with an ongoing investigation into criminal allegations.
Reports indicate that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit, in a formal “Letter of Invitation” dated April 7, 2026, ordered the commissioner to report to the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, April 15, 2024, to answer for the allegations.
The invitation, signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mayamba Magomya Aliya on behalf of the Head of the IGP Monitoring Unit, revealed that the commissioner’s name “featured prominently” in a petition currently under investigation.
“This office is investigating a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Attempted Murder, Threat to Life, Assault and Causing Grievous Bodily Harm reported to the Inspector General of Police in which your name featured prominently,” the letter read.
The summons is being executed under the legal framework of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.
“This invitation is in pursuance of section 53 (2)(a) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015. Your cooperation in this regards (sic) would be highly appreciated, please,” the police stated.
Some security sources in the state say that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is pressuring the police to stop questioning the commissioner about the allegations.
