Police has declared fleeing chieftains of PMS, Lamidi, a.k.a Auxillary, wanted.

The Oyo State Police Command said the decision was taken over his alleged involvement in a series of armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder cases in Oyo state.

Speaking through the Police Public Relations, Adewale Osifeso, the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams, at a press briefing on Friday in Ibadan, said more sophisticated arms and ammunition in addition to the one detected on at the early hours of Tuesday at his Diamond Hotel, Alakia-Isebo have been recovered.

The Commissioner of Police said,

“The General Public, particularly good citizens of Oyo State, is hereby notified that Lamidi Mukaila, a.k.a Auxillary, is wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command, in connection with cases of; Attempted Murder, Causing Grievous Harm, Arms Dealing, Murder, Armed Robbery within Oyo state and kidnapping at Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the State.

“Lamidi Mukaila is an indigene of Oyo State.

” He was born on the 9th of January 1962 (61yrs) and dark in complexion.He stated that aside from the discovery and recovery of arms, a suspected notorious drug peddler alleged to be working for the embattled chairman was caught in possession of Indian hemp and hard drugs worth millions of naira.According to him, ‘sequel to the Strategic Intelligence Coordinated Raid at Diamond Hotel, Alakia-Isebo, Egbeda LGA, Ibadan being the criminal hideout of the sacked Park Management System (PMS) Chieftain, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi A.K.A Auxiliary on Tuesday 30/05/2023, which led to the arrest of Seventy-Eight Hoodlums and recovery of a large cache of Sophisticated Firearms and Ammunition.

“Further discreet intelligence gathering revealed that some other sophisticated firearms, ammunition and weapons were still concealed in the hideout.

“Acting on the strength of the intelligence, on 31st May 2023, a team of Police Operatives attached to the Command Monitoring Unit executed a search warrant around the premises of the above-mentioned hotel, and in the process, the following items were recovered, seventy rounds of AK-47 ammunitions, four hundred pieces of live cartridges out of which 62 have been expended, thirteen pieces of 9-MM ammunitions, two SMG riffles with two magazines and one pump action riffle.

“Others are nine locally-made pistols, two locally-made English pistols with magazines, nine lack knives, three axes, four hundred pieces of long cutlasses, one hammer, one walkie-talkie device, one Army camouflage jacket, one bulletproof with inscription Kiriji Heritage Defence, three long swords, three International passports and a huge cache of criminal charms.

“The list also includes three picture portraits and one traditional crown.In a related development, 20 suspects were paraded in connection with reported cases of armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, and other related vices.The CP added that the suspects would soon appear in court after thorough investigation

Fleeing chieftains of the Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi has been declared wanted over alleged illegal possession of attempted murder, armed robbery, arms dealing, and other vices
