Confirming their arrest to newsmen, the State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, said the suspects boarded the cab as passengers from Ojota on the pretext that they were going to Fela Shrine but that during the trip, the duo tried to kill the driver in a carjacking.

He said the men brought out a gun and robbed the Uber driver of the sum of N80,000, a Tecno Spark 8 mobile phone and other personal belongings.
