Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested one Buhari Suleiman and two other suspected gunrunners.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this known in a statement on Tuesday, identified the other suspects as Jamil Yakubu and Aliyu Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on Monday along the Kaduna-Kano expressway, Kaduna State.
Adejobi stated that the operatives recovered 216 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and one round of Ak-47 ammunition.
“The suspects were apprehended after the police operatives noticed their suspicious activities and approached them to question them.
A subsequent search was conducted, which led to the recovery of 216 rounds of 9mm live ammunition and 1 round of Ak-47 ammunition,” he said
