The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old man, Awal Ahmadu, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old student in the Tafa Local Government Area.
Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
Ahmadu, identified as a resident of New Bwari Village, is accused of raping a JSS III student (name withheld) of Government Day Secondary School New Bwari.
The alleged rape took place in a nearby bush during school hours.
Upon receiving the information, security personnel were dispatched to the scene and apprehended Ahmadu while the victim was taken to Umar Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Hospital in Sabon-Wuse for a medical examination.
