Gunmen have killed at least six people in Congo community, in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Sources from the community who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust said one person who was injured in the attack, is in a critical condition and currently receiving medical attention.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed a market in Daffo ward, around 7pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, and opened fire on the victims, shortly after the market had closed for the day.
Most traders and customers had left the premises, leaving a few behind.
It was gathered that the incident has created yet another tension in the area, as various communities in Bokkos LGA have in recent times come under attack.
