Dr Alex Otti has been sworn in as the 5th democratically elected Governor of Abia state.
The governor, who won election on the platform of the Labour Party took his oath of office at midday during the inauguration held at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
He was sworn in by the Abia Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Lilian Abai, with Otti ‘s deputy, Ikechi Valentine Emetu present.
Peter Obi was represented by the vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Baba Ahmed while a former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was in attendance.
