The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu has returned to the country after a two- week trip to Europe.
His Special Adviser on Media, Simon Imobo-Tswam announced his return in a statement Friday night.
Ayu, who jetted out on September 14, returned to Abuja via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, at about 7pm on Friday.
Before he left, the political leader handed over to the party’s Deputy Chairman (North), Amb. Iliya Damagun.
The power shift was communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Ayu returned to Nigeria as his party faces bribery allegations over the outcome of the presidential primary.
