“The judgement is yet another testament to the fact that the November 16 governorship election in Ondo state represented the wishes of the largest majority of residents who participated in the civic duty.”

Agagu said that Aiyedatiwa’s victory at the Appeal Court signifies the affirmation of the mandate given to him as the duly elected governor of Ondo State, urging him to see the victory as a challenge to sustain the trust of Ondo people in his administration.

While expressing the hope that the Appeal court rulling has put every doubt on the validity and authenticity of the governorship election to rest, Agagu urged the PDP Candidate, Mr Alfred Agboola Ajayi to collaborate with Governor Aiyedatiwa especially in offering useful counsel that could help in building a more prosperous Ondo state.

“Now that the legal battle had crossed the appeal court with Aiyedatiwa being affirmed as the validly elected governor of our dear Sunshine state, it is our hope that the opposition party and its candidate in the election would work together with Governor Aiyedatiwa for the good of Ondo people” Agagu posited.

The PBAT Continuity Director-General applauded the judiciary for upholding the truth stressing that the Appeal court judgement is a proof that democracy and the rule of law are becoming firmly rooted in Nigeria.

“The entire team of the PBAT Continuity Project once again congratulates your excellency and the good people of Ondo state on this victory and wish you and our dear party, the APC success in the efforts at leading the sunshine state and her people to the path of greatness.”, the statement added.
