Oyo State Governor,Seyi Makinde has confirmed the discharge of 22 COVID19 patients from the state Isolation Centers after confirming their second Negative Test results.

The Governor who is also the Chairman of the State COVID19 Taskforce announced this via his official Twitter handle,he said the number brings to 1,146 the total number of patients who have been treated and discharged in the state.

The Governor also disclosed that the COVID-19 confirmation tests for 191 suspected cases came back positive.

The new confirmed cases are from 20 local governments areas,which are: Iseyin (55), Lagelu (37), Ibarapa Central (21), Egbeda (11), Oyo East (9), Ibadan North (8), Orelope (8), Afijio (6), Ona Ara (6), Ogbomosho South (6), Ogbomosho North (4), Ido (4), Ibadan North West (3), Oluyole (3), Atiba (3), Oyo West (3),.Ibadan South West (1), Ibadan North East (1), Akinyele (1) and Ibadan South East (1) Local Government Areas.

While noting that Oyo State as at today as a total number of 2,497 confirmed cases of COVID19,The governor sadly reported 2 new deaths bringing the total number of deaths to twenty-four.
