Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose, has criticised his older brother for alleging that the recent kidnapping of pupils and teachers in Orire Local Government Area might have been orchestrated to blackmail President Tinubu.

Ayo Fayose while speaking during an interview on Channels Television made the allegations, where he noted that the kidnapping might have been planned.

Fayose, who had earlier praised Tinubu’s efforts in managing the affairs of Nigeria since he became President, said the timing of the Oyo kidnap raised suspicion about Makinde’s probable involvement.

The former Governor said Tinubu managed the damage done to Nigeria by the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari effectively.

However, he claimed that, just as former President Goodluck Jonathan was blackmailed over insecurity, the Oyo kidnap incident is being positioned to blackmail President Tinubu.

“And I want to say to you in Oyo State, I have a strong belief, I may be wrong, that this sometimes can be orchestrated. The Governor of Oyo State had his nomination, the nomination of his candidate in the face of this abduction, he did not take any action, no steps were taken. It was after all those nominations that he went to the family to visit them, that he brought somebody out that he started crying; the husband of one of the women, it is sad.

“I can sometimes believe that this was orchestrated in a way, I’m not saying totally, by the government of Oyo State to blackmail President Tinubu,” Fayose said.

Reacting to his brother’s remark, Isaac Fayose, in a video shared on his Instagram, knocked his older brother for the comment. He wondered why his brother did not make the same assumption about the kidnappings happening in APC-led states like Kwara, Niger and Borno.

Isaac said that if his brother has nothing to say, he should remain silent.
