Oyetola noted that when completed the center will also facilitate rapid economic growth & develooment of the State; generate massive employment opportunities for the unemployed population; encourage massive production of agricultural produce, especially food crops; and reduce road mishaps through haulage of goods by rail.

He said ” I am delighted to perform the ground-breaking of the International Trade Centre/Industrial Hub & Inland Port, Dagbolu, Osun. This is coming few days after we performed the flag-off of Osun Ethanol Bio-Refinery Factory located in Ayekale.

“These two projects demonstrate our resolve to engender economic recovery and transformation in Osun and ensure prosperity for our people. As indicated during the Economic and Investment Summit held in 2019, collaboration with core foreign and local partners is one of our strategies to achieve economic transformation.”

I therefore appreciate AKBEEB Investment Ltd. chaired by Chief Bunmi Ogunkeyede for taking this bold step to partner the State on this project.” he said.

The International Trade Centre sits on 206 hectares. Its components include an Inland Dry Port, an Industrial Hub, a Trade Centre/Railway Platform, a Car Mart, a Mini Residential Development and Storage Facilities/ Warehouse.
