The Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) comprising chairmen of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapters has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election for a second term as Governor of Ekiti State.

In a statement issued on Monday, June 29, 2026 and signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, the chairmen described Oyebanji’s victory at the June 20, 2026 governorship poll as a clear endorsement of his first-term performance and quest for more of his developmental strides by the people of the state.

The Forum, which commended Ekiti people for choosing to remain in the progressives fold to enjoy more of Renewed Hope Initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, further described the victory as a well-deserved feat and a confirmation of the people’s trust and confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s leadership quality.

The statement reads, “We write to express our hearty congratulations to you on your re-election as Governor of Ekiti state for another four-year term. This is a well-deserved feat and a confirmation of the people’s trust and confidence in your leadership.

“The fact that Ekiti people stood by you to break the jinx of not having two consecutive terms shows that they love you and cherish your programmes. They gave you 85 percent of the votes and victory in all the 16 local governments to tell the world that they still want more of BAO’s developmental strides”, the statement added.
