Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, will on Monday present newly acquired operational vehicles to security agencies in the state.
The presentation ceremony will take place at the Osuntokun Pavilion, Government House Grounds, Ado-Ekiti, where the vehicles will be formally handed over to heads of the various security agencies.
According to a press release signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Olayinka Oyebode, on Saturday, the gesture is aimed at further strengthening the security architecture of the state.
Oyebode said the provision of the vehicles underscores the determination of the Oyebanji administration to rid the state of crime and criminality by equipping security agencies with necessary logistics and operational support.
He added that the initiative is part of the administration’s sustained investment in the safety, welfare and overall wellbeing of residents, in line with its Shared Prosperity agenda.
