The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has welcomed a royal princess with his queen, Olori Oluwatosin.
The announcement was made on the monarch’s official social media handle on Sunday.
In the statement, the Ooni attributed the safe delivery to God’s grace and congratulated the House of Oduduwa on the new arrival.
“To God Almighty be all the glory for his unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa for the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin,” the statement read.
“May the Almighty preserve this divine gift and cause her to flourish in wisdom, grace, and honour.”
The monarch also confirmed that both mother and child are doing well.
“We are pleased to share that both Olori Oluwatosin and the Royal Princess are in excellent health,” he added.
The birth adds to the royal household of the Ooni, the foremost traditional ruler of the Yoruba people.
