Ondo State Governor,Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Deputy Governor-Elect, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa have received their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Rufus Akeju issued the duo Certificates at the INEC’s office in Akure, on Tuesday.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Akeredolu assured the people of the state that his administration will ensure equal development in all the 18 local government areas of the state.

The Governor said:”Whether they voted for me or not, we will treat all the local government areas of the state equally.”

Governor Akeredolu stressed that the last Saturday’s victory at the election belong to the people of the state.

“Our re-election was a divine project. I want to assure the people that we will serve them in way that they have never seen before.“He stressed.

Akeredolu was declared winner of October 10 Governorship Election having polled a total vote of 292,830 to defeat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede SAN, who polled 195,791 votes.
