A truck with a brake failure on Saturday crushed 10 traders to death at a market in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo state.
The truck was conveying rice and was coming from the Ikare-Akoko axis before it rammed into the market.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ondo State Police Command, Tee-leo Ikoro confirmed the tragedy.

According to him ,Eight people initially lost their lives,then it was discovered that additional two people stucked under the truck had lost their lives .
Ikoro said the truck rammed into the market after brake failure, as many people were trapped under the trailer.
He added that those injured have been taken to the hospital by rescuers.
