Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the harmonisation of monthly pension for retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in the state with their serving counterparts.
In a brief by the Head of Service, Chief Segun Odusanya, the harmonisation, which is in line with extant practice across other states of the federation, is with effect from 1st of July, 2026.
The approval followed a recent request by the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries to the governor through the Office of the Head of Service.
Also approved by the governor is the defrayment of outstanding gratuity entitlements of retired Permanent Secretaries from the state service.
This is in continuation of the government’s efforts to clear all outstanding gratuity of retirees from both the state and the local governments across the state
