Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Nigeria Police and families of the victims of the car crash which happened in Akure on Tuesday.
The accident claimed two lives, both men of the PMF Base in Akure and left many severely injured.
Akeredolu’s condolence message was contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation,Donald Ojogo which was released to newsmen on Wednesday.

As a Government, our hearts are with the authorities of the Nigeria Police as well as the immediate families of the departed. This is a shared moment and unfortunately so”,
“The scene was rather disturbing and quite pitiful as I got there shortly after it happened. It touches more when the victims were officers of the Nigeria Police who died not just in active service but on the line of duty.
“This is an irreplaceable loss, no doubt. Nonetheless, our solace can only be drawn from the eternal comfort that He Giveth and Taketh”,the statement read in part.
