The pioneer cadets of Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun corps are now set for graduation ahead of their deployment across of the state.

Briefing Government House Reporters in Akure the Commander of Ondo State Security Network Agency, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said the newly recruited cadets have undergone alot of trainings and suitability tests, and would consequently be graduated for deployment on Tuesday, 11th August, 2020 at the Arcade grounds in Akure by midday.

He said Operation Amotekun being a security outfit based in all the six South West States, aimed at curbing insecurity in the region have had all its take-off operatives gone through the requisite training required to face any challenge encountered in thier line of duty.

He stressed the importance of support and credible information from residents, traditional rulers and conventional security agencies in the state to ensure safety and adequate service delivery.

“We need all the support and credible information we can get to ensure that we make this society a safe place for us all to live in”, he said.

The Corp Commander who pointed out the importance of communication to a security outfit like Amotekun, said adequate provisions have been made to equip Amotekun operatives in the state with a satellite-based communication system that would reach all parts of the state including by the hard to reach communities.

“The governor has been gracious enough to equip us with a satellite-based communication system that could reach our operatives anywhere in the state, regardless of riverine or hilly areas.

“It is a data conversion walkie-talkie. We know the importance of communication to this assignment, so we intend to deploy to every local government in Ondo State,” he said.

Chief Adeleye, also used the occasion to stress the importance of support and credible information from residents and traditional rulers to ensure adequate service delivery.

“We need all the support and credible information we can get to ensure that we make this society a safe place for us all to live in,” he said.
