The Governorship Candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Mr Agboola Ajayi have promised to address the Inadequacies in the state if elected as the Governor of Ondo State in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election in the state.

The inadequacies to be addressed; according to him; includes solving the ten year-old blackout in Ondo south senatorial district within one hundred days in office as Governor.

He described as disheartening for entire Ondo south to be in total darkness for such a long period without solution from both the State and Federal Governments.

Agboola; who is also the state’s Deputy Governor; vowed that he would reduce drastically to just fifty thousand naira the tuitions at the various state tertiary institutions if elected to lead the state.

The ZLP candidate who made the pledge during the campaign flag off of the Party held in Ore, described the outrageous increase in tuitions of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko and abolition of free health care for pregnant women and children by the present administration as unacceptable.

Mr Agboola who was flanked by his running mate and other party stalwarts, said he remains the most qualified candidate to lead the state as Governor in order to restore various social welfare packages including empowerment of the aged, the workers, traders and artisans.

Addressing the supporters, the National leader of ZLP and former Governor Olusegun Mimiko said Agboola Ajayi remains the best candidate to rescue the state from what described as bad governance in the last three and half years.

Also speaking, a former PDP governorship aspirant, Mr Banji Okunomo, said it is the turn of Ondo South Senatorial District to produce the next Governor of the State in the spirit of political fairness.

The campaign flag off was attended by the ZLP state Chairman, Chief Joseph Akinlaja; three former Speakers Bakita Bello; Taofeeq Abdulsalam and Jumoke Akindele among other political bigwigs.
