A group, Abia North Peace Foundation, has flayed Senator Mao Ohuabunwa for attacking Orji Uzor Kalu Over his senate Presidency ambition.
Ohuabunwa, who lost senatorial contests to Kalu in 2019 and 2023 , in a recent television interview, asserted that Senator Kalu is incompetent to lead the Nigerian Senate.
But in a reply to Ohuabunwa, Abia North Peace Foundation accused him of seeking relevance by attacking Kalu.
The President General of the group, Chief Nnanna Ukaegbu maintained that Kalu is qualified to vie for Senate Presidency.
The group expressed surprise that Ohuabunwa, who is a son of Abia North, was leading a campaign against Kalu’s ambition.
Ohuabunwa was quoted in the television interview as saying: “I will feel terrible because I don’t believe that he is competent to lead the Senate.”
