The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), says it has destroyed 50 illegal refineries, recovered 300 trucks and arrested 200 suspects in the last one year.

The Commandant-General of the Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi revealed this in Abuja at a strategic meeting with commandant and heads of anti-vandal units in the country.

He expressed the Corps’ determination to reverse the trend in every part of the country.

According to him, “Oil theft and illegal bunkering are on the rise, but we are on it; that is why we scheduled the meeting to proffer solutions to the menace.”

The Commandant-General explained that the management had commenced discreet investigation into the activities of anti-vandal squads across the States, with a view to curbing all scrupulous elements in the country.
