Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has reacted to rumour that he is leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressive Congress, APC vowing to turn the state into a one party State.

The Governor spoke when he received the members of the BOT of the PDP in Yola said “You don’t abandon the Party or the house you help to build. So, I shouldn’t be one of those that would consider or contemplate leaving PDP.”

‘Instead, I am that Governor, who has been bringing back those who left the party, and those on the other side who have seen our good leadership, good governance in Adamawa, to come back to PDP.”

“This country is bleeding, Nigerians are waiting for us to take power and provide that leadership that they need.”

“We’ve warned a lot of them. So many of them have come back, so many are coming back and so many would come back. I have vowed that I will make Adamawa a ONE PARTY STATE, and we’re converting them. We’re killing APC, there’s no APC in Adamawa State.”

“There are those who are making noise, they want patronage, those are the ones I think we can say – they’re APC in Adamawa State. But as the voters, their direction is in PDP.”

“Our doors are always opened for those in opposition. There’s no way we will accommodate those who are in the Party and still don’t want us to win elections. If they come, we will forgive them and get along with them. But it’s not our responsibility now to beg them to come back, because dealing with an enemy within can be more dangerous, but we’re prayerful in this state, that’s why we’re living peacefully. Maybe, it’s our prayers that chased them away. I assure you that we’ll now be more peaceful and stronger.”

‘I want to assure you the members of BoT; don’t mind the exit of some few Governor. Hence, the governors are very keyed, but that doesn’t mean that the Governors can take the role of God – as God is the giver of power, and power belongs to Him.”

“Those few Governors who exited doesn’t add any value to where they’ve gone. They rather make PDP even stronger and better as a family. The most important is to uniting, reconciling and building a much bigger family that we’ll be able to manage our successes after winning the elections.”

“Take Adamawa as a case study; we’ve come together over a long period, we’ve won the election, lost election but remained united and recaptured power again.”he said .
