Emirates Airline had suspended flight operations to Nigeria in October 2022, over the country’s inability to repatriate trapped funds.

The government of UAE also banned nationals of 20 African countries including Nigeria, from entering Dubai, its capital.

The Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, Segun Dada, via his X handle on Sunday, September 10, revealed that the President will be heading to the UAE to resolve the visa impasse.

President Tinubu who had on August 24 received the Letter of Credence of Ambassador of UAE, Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, at the presidential villa in Abuja, said he is ready to personally intervene in the diplomatic situation Nigeria has with the UAE
