The Nigeria Immigration Service announced the change on Friday, saying everything is ready to implement President Bola Tinubu’s directive.

This decision follows recent diplomatic efforts by Nigeria and Rwanda to strengthen ties and support African integration.

President Tinubu attended the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali on Thursday.

Before the forum, Tinubu met with Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Presidential Villa.

The two leaders discussed ways Nigeria and Rwanda can work together, including in trade, tourism, security, and regional integration.

At the meeting, Tinubu said Nigeria was considering offering Rwandans the same 30-day visa-free entry that Rwanda already grants to Nigerians.

The President said this step is part of a push to support Pan-Africanism and build stronger connections between African countries.

This new policy should make travel easier between the two countries and help boost business, tourism, and diplomatic ties.
