The newly appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor, of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Andrew Efemini is dead.
Family sources said he died on Saturday afternoon after a brief illness.
Efemini died barely five days after his election as the Deputy Vice Chancellor-designate, Academics, University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
The late Professor of Philosophy was along with others awaiting the ratification of his elevation by the institution’s Governing Council.
Late Efemini is well-known in Rivers State for his good analysis on politics and development on radio.
He was a believer and preacher of better Nigeria.
