The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has released the list of successful and reserve candidates for admission into the 78 Regular Combatant Course, 78RC.
This was contained in an announcement signed by the Academy Registrar, Brigadier General OA Ogunleye.
According to the statement, the Armed Forces Selection Board, AFSB, for the 78RC was conducted from July 4 to August 19, 2026. The list of successful candidates has also been published on the NDA official website, http://www.nda.edu.ng.
The Academy said successful candidates have been offered admission and are to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus, Old Site, Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Candidates will be received on arrival at the Drill Shed, NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment.
“Any candidate who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026 will forfeit his or her place,” the statement said. It added that only selected candidates are to report, while candidates on reserve may be called as the need arises through their registered emails and phone numbers.
The NDA explained that cadets, upon admission, are full-time students and not employees in training. They shall not claim any form of right or engagement as an employee of the institution or Federal Government upon dismissal or withdrawal before commissioning as an officer.
The Academy directed all selected candidates to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB Portal and accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, before reporting. Candidates not offered their preferred academic department were also asked to effect the necessary change on the JAMB Portal.
In addition, selected candidates are required to come with original copies of credentials including First School Leaving Certificate, WAEC/NECO results, Birth Certificate, Letter of State of Origin and duly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form. Photocopies will not be accepted.
Candidates are also to come with specified items including uniforms, sports kits, bedding, toiletries and a pressing iron. Female candidates have additional requirements of lounge skirts, trouser suits and low-heel cover shoes.
The Academy further stated that selected candidates will not be allowed to receive visitors and will not leave the Academy for the first three months of training.
Enquiries are to be sent to the Academy Registrar’s official email address.
