The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 1,204 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country taking the total confirmed cases in the country to 91,351.
The new cases were confirmed in a tweet via the official Twitter account of the NCDC on Monday night.
The health agency also confirmed seven deaths from the ravaging virus across the country taking the total death to 1,318.
The new cases were confirmed in 20 States and the FCT. Lagos State recorded that highest for the day with 654
Other States with new infection are;Plateau-60, Kaduna-54, Kano-40, Rivers-30, Edo-28, Nasarawa-25, Kebbi-19, Bauchi-18, Oyo-13, Akwa Ibom-12, Bayelsa-11. Ogun-11, Delta-9, Abia-8, Benue-5, Imo-3, Borno-2, Sokoto-1, Osun-1.
655 people recovered and we’re discharged from the isolation Centers taking the total number of discharged patient to 75,699.

Meanwhile ,Lagos State Commissioner for Health,Prof.Akin Abayomi has raised an alarm over the increase in the number of patients needing oxygen at the IDH,Yaba.
” Given the increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases since December, 2020; there has been rapid increase in bed occupancy at our COVID Care Centres.
“The number of COVID-19 patients requiring oxygen has increased. With Over 71% increase in oxygen usage at IDH Yaba,” he said.
