The Nigerian Navy has commissioned a newly constructed Dental Clinic and Heart to Heart Centre at Ikate Primary Health Centre, Ikate Elegushi, Lagos State.
The project was done under the Chief of the Naval Staff, CNS Special Intervention Quick Impact Project Scheme.
The Intervention, executed in honour of retired Rear Admiral Olusegun Ferreira, provides dental treatment, diagnostic services, HIV counselling, prevention support and related healthcare services for residents of host community.

Commissioning was performed by Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Abubakar Abdullahi Mustapha, who represented Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas.
Speaking at ceremony, Mustapha said project demonstrates Nigerian Navy’s commitment to targeted interventions that improve community wellbeing and strengthen Civil-Military Cooperation.
He said scheme is designed to deliver quick impact projects that directly benefit host communities and reinforce longstanding relationship between Navy and civil populace.
Highlight of the Commissioning was the free medical outreach for residents, further extending impact of intervention and reinforcing longstanding relationship between Nigerian Navy and Ikate Elegushi community.
