Earlier at the event , the Acting Chief Medical Director(CMD) 44NARHK, Col NS Onuchukwu, welcomed the President, NAOWA and members of her entourage to the hospital. He said the visit will serve as a morale booster to the Wounded In Action officers and soldiers.

The CMD also informed members of the NAOWA that 44NARHK, serves as a base hospital for military operations within the Nothern Region adding that the hospital is saddled with the responsibility of providing major medical specialist services for personel and their families as well as civilians in Kaduna and it’s environs.

Mrs Yahaya in another development, also laid foundation of five blocks of class rooms for nursery and primary school in Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna.

The NAOWA president said the rational behind building additional 5 blocks of classrooms was to expand the school and support soldiers family to improve the quality of education in the barracks.

She said as soldiers are deployed for various internal security operations across the country , therefore, it behoves on NOAWA to take care of their families so that they can concentrate in tackling the security challenges bedeviling our nation.
