It was discovered that suspects had removed some cartons of expired but relabelled drugs before security reinforcements arrived.

The agency says from the warehouse at Umumeje, Umuocheala, Osisioma LGA, 140 tonnes of expired drugs were evacuated, excluding products seized from drug shops at Ariaria International Market.

A total of 178 drug samples collected during the operation will undergo laboratory analysis.
