The Inspector-Heneral of Police has paid a condolence visit to the Chief of Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke,at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Abuja, following crash of NAF ATR 42 aircraft NAF 931.
The visit was on Friday, October 9, 2026 where the IGP conveyed condolences of Nigeria Police Force, NPF, describing the incident as a great loss to service and nation.
He sympathised with bereaved families and colleagues of deceased officers, praying for peaceful repose of their souls and strength for their loved ones.
In a personally written condolence message, he reaffirmed NPF’s solidarity with NAF, stating, “The Nigerian Police stands with the NAF always.”
In his response, CAS appreciated IGP and NPF for their support, noting that the visit reflected enduring bond of camaraderie and inter-service solidarity between two organisations, particularly in times of adversity.
